School psychologists help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. They collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community for all students.

School Social Worker
School Social Workers (SSW) are a vital part of the educational team, working together with educational administrators, teachers, counselors, psychologists, nurses, speech and language pathologists and other staff. Their unique graduate level training in social work enables them to understand and interpret the influences of the school, home, and community on children.
School Social Workers identify factors that can make school a more successful experience for students. The SSW responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Family Support Worker provides case management services including assisting families with access to health, education, legal, housing and social services, improving the safety and security of their family members; helping families move toward self-sufficiency and ensuring parents and school staff work together for successful school performance outcomes. There is also an emphasis on supporting school attendance and facilitating summer enrichment opportunities for the children.
The Family Support Worker's role is to provide prevention and intervention services that support children's growth and development, strengthen families and promote school success through home, school and community collaboration.
